NMOHVA 'Meets and Greets' 4WD Community at the Chile Challenge

Last Updated: March 23, 2009

Members of the NMOHVA Board of Directors were on hand last week at the largest 4WD gathering in the state to meet and greet members of the 4WD community. The 17th Annual Chile Challenge in Las Cruces attracted over 250 vehicles this year. The four day event features trail rides for all levels of skill, a large vendor fair, several dinners, and a huge raffle.

NMOHVA co-sponsored the annual (and very popular) Ice Cream Social on Friday night and manned an information booth for both Friday and Saturday evening’s festivities. President Mark Werkmeister, Secretary Terry Rust, and past President Joanne Spivack were kept busy answering questions about NMOHVA, its mission, and the future of land use in the state. The three representatives also signed up Chile Challenge participants from across our state and a dozen other states for free email updates on land access issues in New Mexico.

NMOHVA has additional "Meet and Greet' opportunities planned for all of our OHV communities. We hope to meet all of you at one of these future events or our upcoming Annual member meeting.
